Who was Yeshua ha-Mashiach – the Messiah? What did Yeshua teach?

People from around the world have around of different views about Yeshua ha Mashiach; and necessarily everyone can’t be right. If you want to follow the historical person, you must use a correct methodology to find out how he really was, and what he really taught.

Ribi Yeshua ha-Mashiach [‘the Messiah’] from Nazareth was called a Ribi even by his opponents. This title implies that Ribi Yeshua ha-Mashiach had semikhah – rabbinic ordination. Only the Pharisees had this rabbinic ordination. This implies that Ribi Yeshua was a Pharisee.

Ribi Yeshua ha-Mashiach is in the “gospel of Matthew” called a “rabbi”. It was by necessity the title ”Ribi” that was written in the original Hebrew manuscripts; because the title ”Rabbi” is anachronistic; and the burden of proof is on the person claiming that it was the Hellenist redactor whom redacted in that title. [1]

This implies that he couldn’t have taught anything in contradiction with the Torah. [note 2].

“That Yehoshua is in several passages recognized by the title of ‘ribi’ (cf. note 23.7.1) – uncontested at the time and in any documentation from the period – and established the beit din ha-Netzarim (Netzarim Reconstruction of Hebrew Matityahu [NHM] 18:15-20) – also uncontested – clearly demonstrates that Yehoshua was properly “ordained” as ‘Ribi’.” [3]

Also, if Yeshua would have taught against the Torah, he wouldn’t have been the Mashiach according to the Messianic prophesies, which requires the Mashiach and his followers to teach Torah [documentation in note 4a]
